We're a Japanese couple raising little ones. We've lived abroad ourselves and we speak English, so we know how much of Japan stays hidden when you can't read Japanese.
We started this site because the most useful information about traveling Japan with a baby or toddler is written in Japanese, on railway, hotel and government pages, and in the tips Japanese parents swap with each other. We read those pages and put the answers in plain English.
Japanese-language official sites come first: railways, hotels, ministries, local governments. Every rule links to its source, with the date we last checked it.
Made-up reviews, paid rankings, or medical advice. For health and safety we point to official guidance and suggest you ask your pediatrician.
Rules in Japan change, and we update pages when they do. Each photo is credited under the image.
